INFORMATIVE VIDEO: MY MALAYSIAN QUARANTINE EXPERIENCE [APRIL 2020]

In April, I returned to Malaysia from Oklahoma to wait out the COVID-19 pandemic with my family. I was required to quarantine for two weeks in a government-assigned location as part of an order that was newly implemented.

I decided to document my journey from traveling to arriving in Malaysia to being in quarantine as a way of informing those who were planning to also return to Malaysia. The video received over 1,000 views in its first 24 hours.

This is one of the videos I produced as part of the ConverAsian YouTube project, which aims to educate viewers about Asian culture in a safe space. The project is run by myself and two other colleagues. My role in ConverAsian is to oversee filming and day-of production and assist with editing.

SHORT FILM: THE PERFECT GIFT [DEC 2019]

I produced this short film for my final project for the Non-Linear Editing class at UCO. I received an A for the class.

I made the film Christmas themed as my submission date was in December. I wanted the story to remind people to spend more time with their loved ones and not take them for granted.

PSA: LOOK UP [NOV 2019]

I was assigned to create a public service announcement for my Non-Linear Editing class at UCO. I decided to create it over distracted driving as a campaign with the National Security Council. I received an A in the class.

SHORT FILM: P.S. I LOVE YOU [MAY 2019]

I created this short film as my final project submission for Media Production at UCO. During my first year at UCO, I felt like I neglected my family members a lot due to my busy schedules. I didn't call or text often. I wanted to create a short film to remind myself and other international students to not take their family members for granted, even if they were thousands of miles away.

This short film was written, filmed and edited in 15 hours.

30-SEC TV SPOT: RENT-AN-ALARM [OCT 2018]

I was tasked to create a 30-second TV advert for a product of our choice (real or imaginary) for a group project in Media Production at UCO. My group and I created "Rent-An-Alarm," which was an alarm service where a person would be sent to wake you up.

I created the product, designed the logo, wrote the script, directed and acted in the shoot and edited the video by myself.

1-MIN PROMO: UCO INTL. FESTIVAL [2018]

While being the photographer for the UCO Malaysian Student Association in 2018-19, I created a promotional video to help the association promote the annual Edmond International Festival. The video was shot and edited by me.
